Children's Home Society

The Children’s Home Society of Florida is a nationally accredited agency, making a difference in the lives of 100,000 Florida children and families each year. CHS services are offered in more than 204 locations by more than 1,900 staff members dedicated to providing child-focused, family-centered care.

Each holiday season, Gulf Coast Electric Cooperative employees and trustees pull together to organize a toy drive to benefit the Children’s Home Society. The toys donated by GCEC are distributed to underprivileged children in Bay, Calhoun, Gulf, Holmes, Jackson and Washington counties. GCEC has also contributed monetary donations and has assisted with the annual Inspiring Lives golf tournament fundraiser, as well as the annual golf ball drop from one of GCEC’s bucket trucks.
