Name: Michael White
Position: CEO/General Manager
Responsibility: White is responsible for all day-to-day operations of the Cooperative and recommends policy to the Board of Trustees.
Biography: White holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agribusiness Education from Auburn University, as well as a Master’s in Business Administration from Florida State University. Prior to coming to Gulf Coast Electric in 1998 to be its Manager of Marketing and Member Services, White worked for Coosa Valley Electric Cooperative in Talladega, Ala. White was promoted to the title of Assistant Manager in 2005 and was promoted to CEO/General Manager in 2010.
 
  Name: Peyton Gleaton
Position: Manager of Engineering
Responsibility: Peyton is responsible for designing and planning the electric utility system of the Cooperative to assure efficient and reliable electric service at the lowest reasonable cost consistent with good engineering and business practices.
Biography: Peyton holds a Bachelor of Engineering and Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology. He has 15 years of experience with electric cooperatives and has served in the following positions: Vice President of Engineering at Pataula EMC; Manager of Project Planning Services and subsequent Manager of Area Planning at Georgia Transmission Corporation; Sr. Vice President of Engineering and Operations at Mitchell EMC; and International Consulting Specialist with NRECA International Programs. Prior to his cooperative experience, Gleaton worked for two years with Facilities Resource Management as Supervisor of Engineering and Technical Services.
 
Name: Kristin Evans
Position: Manager of Marketing and Member Services
Responsibility: Evans is responsible for all communication functions of the Cooperative, including the Florida Currents magazine, website and contacts with the news media on a local and national level. She coordinates all advertising functions, including billboards, newspaper, radio and television advertisements. Evans also oversees all school programs, including Safety City demonstrations and the Rural Electric Youth Tour Program. Additionally, Evans coordinates the Annual Members' Meeting and is responsible for overseeing the Cooperative's marketing programs, including the Touchstone Energy® Home Program, surge protection, energy audits, energy codes and Manual J calculations.
Biography: Evans received an Associate in Arts degree Magna Cum Laude from Chipola College in Marianna, Fla.; holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Relations with a double minor in Business and English from Florida State University, where she also graduated Magna Cum Laude; and a Master of Science degree in Corporate and Public Communication and a Graduate Certificate in Event Management from Florida State University - Panama City campus.  Evans is a Certified Cooperative Communicator.  Evans came on board at Gulf Coast Electric in 2002, was promoted to the title of Supervisor of Marketing and Member Services in 2005 and was promoted to her current position in 2008.
   
Name: Jim Vickers
Position: Manager of Military Affairs
Responsibility: Vickers is responsible for overseeing all of the day-to-day activities involving water or electricity on Tyndall Air Force Base.
Biography: Vickers holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Florida State University, as well as a general contractors license.  He has also obtained the designation as a Professional Engineer.
 
Name: Justin Barnes
Position: Manager of Office Services
Responsibility: Barnes is responsible for organizing, directing and managing the
Cooperative's office services department, including billing, capital
credits, insurance claims and contracts.
Biography: Barnes holds an Associate in Arts degree from Gulf Coast Community College and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Florida State University. He has previous experience working in the accounting field and has also held the titles of Corporate Services Specialist and Supervisor of Office Services for the Cooperative before being promoted to his current position.
 
Name: Francis Hinson
Position: Manager of Operations
Responsibility:  Hinson is responsible for the day-to-day management of overhead and underground construction/maintenance of the electric distribution system.  He is also responsible for overseeing the Cooperative's safety program.
Biography: Hinson previously worked for PowerSouth Energy Cooperative for 26 years, where he was responsible for the oversight and management of the Chipley district office, including daily operations, work scheduling, right-of-way, resource allocation, substations and transmission lines.
