|Beware of SCAM!|
|GCEC would like to warn all of its members about a scam that is currently taking place in our area. One of our members received a call this morning from a man claiming to be an employee of the cooperative. He told our member that unless he went to CVS or Walgreen's and deposited a large sum of money into an account, that his power would be disconnected. We have reported this incident to the Bay County Sheriff's Office. We encourage all of our members to use caution when giving out personal information.|
|One year of no lost-time accidents|
|Gulf Coast Electric Cooperative employees recently celebrated an important milestone – a full calendar year of no lost-time accidents. A lost-time accident is a work-related injury that hinders an employee from being able to carry out his or her regular job duties. This achievement represents nearly 135,000 hours worked by more than 70 Cooperative employees over a one-year period. Read more
