Jackson Basford Joins Engineering Department as Intern

Shannon Newsome Earns Drone Pilot Certification

Shannon Newsome recently earned her drone pilot certification, adding another valuable tool to the cooperative’s operations. Drone technology allows GCEC to inspect infrastructure more safely and efficiently while helping reduce costs and improve system reliability. Lane Adkins Completes TVPPA Lineworker Apprenticeship Program

Congratulations to Lane Adkins on successfully completing the Tennessee Valley Public Power Association Lineworker Apprenticeship Program. The program combines classroom instruction with hands-on training and covers essential skills such as electrical fundamentals, overhead and underground distribution systems, safety procedures, equipment operation, troubleshooting and pole climbing. Lane’s accomplishment reflects his dedication to professional growth and GCEC’s ongoing commitment to employee training and development.
