Gulf Coast Electric Cooperative (GCEC) is proud to offer an exciting opportunity for high school seniors in its service area: the chance to win one of 10 $1,000 scholarships!
In order to win, you must be present at our 74th Annual Members’ Meeting, which will be held Saturday, May 7, at our office headquarters in Wewahitchka. The drawing is random and will occur “live” during the program.
High school seniors graduating at the end of the 2021 to 2022 school year—including homeschooled students—whose parent(s) or guardian(s) is a member of GCEC and who are attending a college, university or technical school for the Fall 2022 semester are eligible to enter the drawing.
Upon proof of enrollment in a college, university, or technical school, scholarship checks will be made payable to the college, university, or technical school for first-semester expenses. To enter, eligible students will need to complete the GCEC 2022 Scholarship Application located on our Scholarships page and submit it to the co-op by Friday, April 1, 2022.
After the applications are reviewed, further information will be mailed to all students who qualify for the drawing, giving instructions on their attendance at the Annual Meeting. This information will be distributed by Friday, April 15, 2022.
