


3 Gulf Coast Electric Cooperative (GCEC) employees received special awards named in memory and honor of former employees. Additionally, several employees and trustees were recognized for milestone service anniversaries at a December 17 gathering.
Sunny Brown received the Alfredia Owens Member Service Award.
Management selected Sunny for her commitment to high-quality member service, strong relationships with fellow employees, empathy and compassion, honesty and integrity, and for prioritizing the safety of members, the public, and co-workers. She also serves as a positive role model to others.
Chris Flowers was honored with the Tony “T-Bone” Turner Hustle Award.
He was recognized for his sustained record of productivity, exceptional efficiency, dedication, and a keen focus on safety for members, the public, and employees. Chris’s work ethic and positive interactions set a strong example for others.
Kam Cavanaugh earned the Tomica Lowery Memorial Award.
Kam was selected for appreciating and supporting the fundamental human needs of co-workers, communicating clearly, and fostering greater organizational commitment. These qualities were demonstrated by employee satisfaction, which led to less stress and absenteeism.
