Dwight Van Lierop represents members residing in Calhoun County, east of the Chipola River.
He was recently appointed by the Gulf Coast Electric Cooperative Board of Trustees to serve out the remaining term of Gary Cox, who passed away in November 2021. Dwight has been a member of Gulf Coast Electric Cooperative and a resident of Calhoun County since 1996.
Dwight holds a bachelor of science degree in finance. From 2001 to 2018, he was president of Van Lierop Insurance Services, and from 2018 to present, he is vice president of Acentria Insurance.
Dwight is a member of the Florida Association of Insurance Agents. He is past president of the Gulf County Chamber of Commerce and the Professional Insurance Agents of Florida.
Dwight has been married to Sheree S. Van Lierop for 35 years. The couple has three children and one grandchild.
