Meet Your District II, Group 3 Trustee

Eddie Jones

Eddie Jones serves as the District II, Group 3 trustee, representing members in a portion of northern Gulf County.

Eddie is an honorary member of the Wewahitchka Volunteer Fire Department and a charter member of the Wewahitchka Lions Club. Eddie, now retired, worked 25 years for the transportation department of the Apalachicola Northern Railroad, with 24 of those years spent as an engineer.

Eddie and his wife, Sue, have 2 daughters, Kristin and Kelli. The Joneses have 4 grandchildren, Chase, Kendall, Cade, and Karleigh. Eddie is an avid gardener, loves spending time with family and friends, and is Protestant by faith.

Eddie began serving on the GCEC Board of Trustees in 1995. While serving on the board, he earned his Credentialed Cooperative Director certification and Board Leadership Certification, and obtained and maintained his Director Gold Credentials since 2018. Throughout his tenure on the GCEC Board of Trustees, he has held the roles of board president, vice president, treasurer, and secretary. He also served on the PowerSouth Energy Cooperative Board of Trustees and is currently serving on the Florida Electric Cooperative Association Board of Trustees.
